the hadith/authentic tradition says that: 'Somebody from the Children of Israel made people hopeless of God's mercy. He used to tell them heavy/hard to follow stuff. On the Judgment Day, Allah says to him: just as you made My servants be hopeless of My Mercy, caused them to give up hope of My Mercy, today I make you hopeless of My Mercy.'
